How to Read a Product Page With Confidence

A polished product page should help you understand a purchase, not rush you into it. Here is a simple way to read one: separate what you can see, what the seller states and what still needs to be verified.

Start with the product, not the headline

Find the exact model name, the item count and the selected variant. A short headline cannot tell you everything that matters. Check whether a change in variant also changes the accessories, power supply or other details.

Know what an image can and cannot show

A photograph can be useful for seeing visible details. An illustration or AI-created image can communicate a design direction. Neither replaces the written dimensions, specifications or instructions for the item that will be delivered.

At Selorive, our current studio and lifestyle visuals are AI-created illustrations based on supplier references. The packaging image is a concept. They are not evidence of performance, final packaging or exact scale.

Read promises carefully

Ask whether a claim is specific and supported for the exact product. Words such as “professional”, “advanced” or “premium” do not explain a test result. A customer story is not the same as evidence that a product will have the same effect for you.

Do not make a health decision from an advertising headline. Use verified product instructions and qualified professional advice when suitability is uncertain.

Check the offer arithmetic

For a buy-two-get-one-free offer, check whether you must add all three items to the bag, whether the items must match, and whether the discount is limited to one use per order. Confirm the final total before payment, including shipping and applicable taxes.

Read what happens after purchase

Look for a clear contact method, delivery information and the returns process. A faster-looking delivery label is not a delivery date. Read the quoted estimate and any conditions for your destination.

Give yourself room to decide

Save your questions. Compare complete kits. Leave the checkout until the important details are clear. A considered purchase does not need a countdown clock.

Ask Selorive a question or use our seven-point shopping checklist. Our collection remains in pre-launch review.
